Planning a medical beauty trip to Seoul?

It’s natural to have questions. At Relieve Clinic, we value transparency and want you to feel completely comfortable before you even step into our clinic.

Here are the answers to the most common questions our international patients ask.

1. Booking & Consultation

Q. Do I need to speak Korean to visit Relieve Clinic?

A. Not at all! We have dedicated, fluent English-speaking coordinators who will assist you from your first online inquiry to your post-treatment care. You will have full translation support during your 1:1 consultation with Dr. Park to ensure all your skin concerns are perfectly understood.

Q. Can I just walk in, or do I need an appointment?

A. Because we are a premium boutique clinic and not a “factory-style” hospital, we operate on a strict reservation basis. Dr. Park dedicates ample time to each patient for customized design and treatment. We highly recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially if you have specific travel dates.

Q. Can I get a consultation and treatment on the same day?

A. Yes! Most of our international patients opt for a same-day consultation and treatment to maximize their travel schedule. During your booking, please let us know your areas of interest so we can block out enough time for both.

2. Treatments & Pain Management

Q. I heard skin boosters like Rejuran are very painful. Is it different at Relieve?

A. Minimizing discomfort is our signature. While injectables can never be 100% painless, we utilize a specialized “Pain-Free Protocol.” This includes a generous application of premium numbing cream for 30-40 minutes, the use of vibration devices to distract nerve endings, and Dr. Park’s exceptionally fast and delicate injection techniques. Many patients who were traumatized by previous experiences elsewhere tell us they felt very comfortable here.

Q. Will there be any downtime? Can I put on makeup right away?

A. It depends on the procedure, but we focus on treatments with minimal downtime so you can enjoy your Seoul trip.

  • Lifting (Ultherapy, Xerf): Almost no downtime. You can apply makeup and go out immediately.
  • Skin Boosters (Juvelook, Rejuran): You may have small bumps (embossing) and slight redness. This usually subsides within 1 to 3 days. We recommend avoiding heavy makeup for the first 24 hours to allow your skin to heal.

3. Pricing & Payment

Q. Do you provide Tax Refunds for tourists?

A. No. The VAT refund for foreign aesthetic patients ended on 1 January 2026, so there is no longer an airport tax refund for cosmetic treatments. The price we quote plus 10% VAT is your final cost, and we will show you that full figure before anything starts — no surprises at checkout.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

A. We accept Korean Won (KRW) in cash, as well as major international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express). Please note that your bank may charge a foreign transaction fee.

Q. Are your prices the same for foreigners and locals?

A. Absolutely. We believe in 100% transparent pricing. The price you see on our website or receive during your consultation is the same price locals pay. There are no hidden fees or “foreigner surcharges” at Relieve Clinic.
